See before you buy
When purchasing a second-hand item, you often want to see it in person, check it carefully, and sometimes try it before making a decision. Reservation allows you to secure the item while still having the opportunity to discover it on site, with full transparency.
Avoid shipping costs that don’t fit second life
When looking for great deals, shipping fees can quickly represent a disproportionate part of the price. Moreover, a large number of second-life items are not suitable for postal delivery due to their size, weight, fragility, or logistical constraints. Local reservation allows you to pay only for the item itself, without additional fees, and promotes exchanges that are simple and aligned with the reality of second-hand products.
Secure great deals
Many listed items — display models, unique pieces, or refurbished products — are available in limited quantities. Reservation works on a simple principle: first come, first served. The first buyer to reserve the item secures it and can then collect it.
Encourage local circularity, especially for professionals
Reservation is also a simple and effective tool for local professionals. It allows them to offer circular products — display models, refurbished items, or second-life goods — without shipping logistics, online payment management, or additional complexity.
This system adapts to the reality of local shops and makes it easier for them to publish attractive circular deals directly accessible to nearby customers.

On Green Choice Co., reservation is therefore a simple, practical solution designed for the second life of objects. It secures great deals while preserving the freedom and trust that define local exchanges.
1. Discover second-life items
Browse listings from local individuals and committed professionals near you. Use the filters to easily find second-life products such as pre-owned items, display models, or refurbished pieces.
2. Reserve your items online (0.- fees)
Add your favorite items to your cart and confirm your reservation just like a regular checkout. No online payment is required. Your reserved items are set aside by the seller for a limited time to guarantee their availability.
- Please note : You can reserve multiple items from the same seller in one reservation. If you wish to reserve items from another seller, you will need to create a separate reservation.
3. Collect your items and pay on site
Contact the seller through the messaging system to arrange a meeting (private seller), or go directly to the store (professional seller).
- Check the item: You only pay if the item truly meets your expectations.
- Pay directly: For simplicity, TWINT is recommended for private transactions.
- Time limit: You have two days to collect your item (2 calendar days for private sellers / 2 business days for professional sellers). After this period, the item is made available again.
Once the reservation has been completed, a confirmation email is sent to both the seller and the buyer. The seller’s address is automatically transmitted to the buyer in this confirmation email. It is not publicly visible on the platform.
For professional sellers, simply check the store’s opening hours to collect your reservation in person.
For private sellers, please contact them via the internal messaging system to agree on a specific collection time or, if necessary, an alternative meeting location.
No. Reservation is 100% free for both buyers and sellers.
You can list a wide variety of items. This includes clothing, accessories, electronics, books, artworks, games, furniture, or any product you would like to give a second life.
If you feel a product category is missing, don’t hesitate to let us know. On Green Choice Co., it is strictly forbidden to sell illegal, unethical, or non-compliant items, as well as potentially dangerous or unhygienic products. This includes, but is not limited to: counterfeit goods, firearms, explosives, illegal drugs or substances, prescription-only medication, and any offensive, discriminatory, or pornographic content.The sale of live animals, lottery tickets, food and beverages is also prohibited. Any violation of these rules may result in the immediate removal of the listing and permanent suspension of the seller’s account. Green Choice Co. also does not allow the sale of cars, motorcycles, or scooters.

To ensure smooth and successful transactions, it is important to be as objective as possible when selecting the condition of your item.
All defects and specific characteristics must be clearly mentioned in the description. Indicating the correct condition helps buyers filter listings and find what they are looking for more easily.
Available condition categories:
- Never used: The item has never been used and shows no defects. It may or may not include its original tag or packaging.
- Very good condition: The item has been used a few times but remains in excellent condition. It may show minor and superficial signs of wear but functions perfectly without major defects.
- Good condition: The item has been used and may show visible signs of wear but remains fully functional.
- Fair condition: The item has been used many times and shows noticeable signs of wear or defects but remains functional.
For professionals only:
- New: Reserved exclusively for brand-new items sold by professionals, where you will be the first owner. These typically include end-of-line products, last collections, or items with damaged packaging.
Good to know
A pre-owned item is different from a new item. An item is considered new only when you are the first owner. If an item has previously belonged to at least one person, it is considered second-hand, regardless of its condition. For this reason, private sellers cannot use the label “new” or “like new.” Even if the item was never used, it remains a second-hand item and should be listed as “Never used.”
A refurbished item is also considered second-hand but has been inspected, tested, and repaired if necessary before being resold.
To maintain a qualitative, clear, and attractive marketplace, each listing should ideally correspond to one single item. We allow small bundles only if they form a coherent set (e.g., a hat and gloves set, a bundle of 3 matching bodysuits). Grouping small low-value items together is also possible. “Garage sale” style listings containing multiple unrelated items in a single ad are strictly prohibited.
The objective is simple: make buyers want to reserve. Clear and well-structured listings generate more interest and increase reservation chances.
Remember: buyers can add multiple items from the same seller to their cart before reserving. There is no need to create large bundles to sell several items.
When you reserve an item, you commit to contacting the seller or going to the store promptly. The reservation does not constitute a binding purchase commitment. As soon as you click, the item is blocked for you and becomes unavailable to other community members: the seller gives you priority.
A reserved item that is not collected loses the opportunity to be sold to someone else. By honoring your reservations, you actively support local shops and private sellers near you.
If something comes up, please be courteous: inform the seller or cancel your reservation from your account to release the item immediately.
To ensure maximum flexibility, reservations on Green Choice Co. remain simple and adaptable. Both the buyer and the seller can cancel a reservation at any time.
To cancel, simply go to your personal account and change the status to “Reservation cancelled.” Both parties are automatically notified by email.
Automatic cancellation
A reservation automatically expires if the transaction is not finalized within the defined time limits : 2 calendar days for private sellers and2 business days for professional sellers. Concretely: if the seller does not click “Paid & collected” and no manual cancellation is made before the deadline, the item is automatically made available again for other buyers.
In-person collection is at the heart of Green Choice Co. Whether you meet a private seller or visit a store, a successful exchange relies on two key principles:
Organization and privacy:
The seller’s address is automatically transmitted to the buyer in the reservation confirmation email. To agree on the exact pickup time, please use the platform’s secure messaging system. Arrange a meeting (at home or in a public place) for private sellers, or go directly to the store during opening hours for professional sellers.
Punctuality:
Everyone’s time is valuable. In case of delay or unexpected issues, inform the other party immediately.
Price negotiation:
- Private seller: The price shown in the cart serves as the reference price. If you wish to negotiate, do so via messaging before meeting. Once on site, the purpose is to verify the item’s conformity, not to reopen negotiations.
- Professional seller: The displayed price is fixed and non-negotiable, just like any in-store purchase.
Once your item has been reserved, the buyer has 2 business days for professionnal sellers, or 2 calendar days for private sellers to collect the item before it is automatically made available again.
Preparation : Make sure the item is clean and fully compliant with the listing description.
Verification & payement : The buyer will inspect the item on site. If it meets their expectations, payment is made directly :
- Between private individuals : Prefer TWINT for an instant and secure transfer.
- In store : Use your usual in-store payment terminals.
Final step : Once payment has been received, you must click on “Paid & collected” in your dashboard. This updates the stock and officially closes the transaction.
For private sellers
Research similar products on the market. Consider the item’s condition, age, and demand. If you want to sell quickly, you may choose to set a slightly lower price than similar listings to attract buyers faster.
Keep in mind that even a never-used second-life item no longer holds the same value as a brand-new product. By offering items in excellent condition at attractive prices, you significantly increase your chances of selling quickly.
For professional sellers
The displayed price is set freely by you. It is fixed and non-negotiable.
High-quality and detailed photos are essential to attract buyers and sell faster. You can upload up to 10 photos per listing. Here are some practical tips :
- The first photo should show a complete view of the item, including any accessories.
- If your item is branded, show proof of authenticity (label, logo, brand name, etc.). A receipt or proof of purchase can help confirm authenticity.
- Use your own photos only. No stock images or promotional images from the internet. Photos must represent the actual item being sold and reflect its real condition.
- Take photos in natural daylight, ideally against a white or neutral background. Colors should appear as accurate as possible.
- Vary the angles to make your listing more attractive.
- Include close-up shots of important details (fabric texture, labels, specific features, etc.).
- Always show all defects clearly in the photos.
Good to know : “Catalogue” photos are exceptionally allowed for professional sellers, especially for new items such as end-of-line products
- Title : Include specific details such as brand, color, size, or key characteristics. The more precise your title, the easier your item will be to find in searches.
- Description : Be clear and detailed. Mention all relevant information (dimensions, materials, condition, included accessories). If there are defects, describe them honestly and show them in the photos. A transparent and complete description builds trust and increases your chances of selling quickly.
- Respond quickly to buyer questions. Fast replies build trust and can speed up the reservation decision.
- Use social media : Share your listings on social networks to reach a wider audience. Post in relevant groups or use appropriate hashtags. Social media can significantly increase visibility, especially if you already have a community interested in what you sell.

By leaving a review, you help the community understand whether the item matched the listing, whether its condition corresponded to the description, whether the seller respected the agreed appointment and deadlines, whether the exchange was pleasant and respectful, and whether your overall experience was satisfactory.
Your feedback allows future buyers to make informed choices and contributes to maintaining a high level of quality on the platform.
How to leave a review ?
Once you have collected your item, you can leave a review about your overall experience with the seller. The rating takes the form of 1 to 5 stars accompanied by a comment. Reviews must be honest, factual and respectful. Each review is linked exclusively to a completed reservation.
To leave a review :
- Open the profile of the seller with whom you have finalized your reservation.
- Select the number of stars that reflects your experience and, if you wish, write a short comment describing it. Your review will be published with your username and the date.
- 1 or 2 stars correspond to an unsatisfactory experience.
- 3 stars correspond to a satisfactory experience, but with aspects that could be improved.
- 4 to 5 stars correspond to a very satisfactory or excellent experience.
Once published, your review is visible to the entire community and helps other members make confident decisions when choosing items.

For your own safety, we strongly recommend that you never share your personal contact details outside the platform before organising the collection.
Create your user account to reserve items
Start by registering on the platform and creating your user account. Once registered, you will be able to reserve items immediately and access your personal dashboard.
During registration, you can tick the box “I want to be a seller”. This will automatically guide you to the next step, which is creating your seller account, once your user account has been activated. If you prefer to wait before selling, you can always create your seller account later from your personal space by clicking on “Create my seller account”.
Activate your seller account to publish listings
This step unlocks all the features that allow you to publish listings. You will need to upload a profile picture, which is mandatory, and write a short presentation, which is optional.
If you are a private seller, you can share a few words about yourself. If you are a professional seller, briefly present your business. You will also be asked to provide your postal code and city so that your items can be geolocated on the interactive map visible to buyers.
If you wish to delete your Green Choice Co. account, please contact us via the contact form. Our team will process your request and permanently delete your account and personal data from the platform.
